Leave a CommentThe apple harvest is done and we’re shifting gears for the upcoming Holiday Season! Jess has been busy building Signature Holiday Baskets! In addition to our Signature Baskets, we’ll be making lots of “one of a kind” baskets. And we love to custom make to suit your needs & budget.
Fred and Jess are busy bottling wines that we’ve run out of during the busy fall. Pressing apples for the 2022 wines and ciders is also on the “to do list”. Unfortunately, we’re out of apples to sell. However, we’ve set aside some apples so that we can continue to press fresh cider right up to Christmas. Fresh baking will also continue to be available on weekends.
We’ve stocked our shelves with lots of unique gifts, crafts and preserves. Many local treasures! Speaking of local and treasures, why not make a day of it and visit some of our neighbour businesses that can all be found on A Country Path. Here’s your guide to Holiday Shopping made easy! Last but not least, we continue to offer complimentary wine and cider tasting, Al fresco style! How does it work? You simply choose 4 samples from our Build Your Own Flight sheet. Once your samples are poured, you’ll take your board out to a table on the porch where you can safely remove your mask to taste. Did you know that there’s nothing like a “fresh palate” for getting the true taste of wine or cider? No reservations required.
Last Chance For Pick Your Own!
Leave a CommentThe Pick your Own season will be coming to a close this Sunday, October 17th. Varieties available for picking are Ida Red and Empire, as well as Ambrosia while quantities last. The weather is not looking great but we will be open rain or shine. So,if you have not made it picking yet this year, this is your chance! After this weekend, we will remain open in the winery and market right up until Christmas Eve. Our hours will be Tuesday to Sunday from 10 – 5.
Apple Picking is Here Again!
Leave a CommentPicking time is finally here and we couldn’t be more excited! We kicked things off this weekend with the Silken and Gala apples. Next on the list will be Honey Crisp and McIntosh starting September 18th. More varieties to follow! Click here for tentative start dates for other varieties. If you have not been here before, this is how our Pick Your Own system works: You drive in to the orchard in your own car where you will find rows marked with numbers and apple variety. No reservations required and no entry fee. However there is a minimum purchase of one 1/2 bushel bag per car. You are welcome to mix and match all available varieties. The cost is $40 for 1/2 bushel (20lbs).
As well as our apples, we are happy to be offering our fresh baking and fresh cider again every weekend. Cider is pressed on a weekly basis and is available starting Friday. Baking is a definite on the weekend and by order during the week. If you haven’t yet tried our apple dumplings with caramel sauce you are in for a treat!
Wine tasting is available at our outdoor bar from 11 – 4, weekends only. First come first served, ‘build your own flight’ with your choice of any 4 wines or ciders and as always, FREE!

We’re so excited to invite you back for wine tasting starting July 3rd! Samples will be offered outdoors on Saturdays & Sundays from 1 to 3. It’s our 24th Anniversary with the Winery!
Can’t believe that it’s been 24 years since we opened the doors to what was a dream…a hobby of Fred’s. The initial Wine List was very small! There were 8 different apple wines ranging from our very dry Ida Red Oak Aged to our sweet Spiced Winter Apple dessert wine. Both have stood the test of time & are still on the list, along with 12 other wines & ciders that Fred has created throughout the last 24 years. And Fred & I have stood the test of time too. It really does fly when you enjoy what you do and have great customers like you!
P.S. Just had to share that our grand daughter Grace looked at these pictures & said “Grandfather looks the same”. She didn’t say that I looked different but… I knew what she was thinking. LOL

Blossom Time!
Leave a CommentIt really is a beautiful time at the orchard! The bees are hard at work pollinating the blossoms and we couldn’t ask for better weather. We were not able to host our annual Honey Bee Orchard Blossom Walk this year but in place of that we hope you enjoy our ‘flight of the bumblebee’ video!
